DS Elite Volleyball holds evaluations for all age groups each season. We are looking for athletes who are ready to compete, grow, and be great teammates.

Tryout Overview

Tryouts at DS Elite are open to all players from athletes new to club volleyball to those returning to compete at a higher level. Every player who participates in an evaluation is seen and assessed by our coaching staff. Our goal is to place every athlete in the right environment for her development.

What to Expect:

  • Skill-based evaluations across serve, pass, set, and attack

  • Age-appropriate assessments for each group

  • Evaluations led and observed by DS Elite coaching staff

  • Placement decisions communicated promptly following evaluations

How It Works

Register for Your Evaluation Sign up for a 60-minute pre-tryout evaluation session and take the first step toward finding your place in the DS Elite program.

Step 1

Receive Your Feedback Every athlete walks away with honest, direct feedback from our coaching staff — including which program level is the right fit and what to focus on heading into tryouts.

Step 2

Get on the Court Your athlete takes the court in a small-group, coach-led session where we assess skills, athleticism, coachability, and effort across all core areas of the game.

Compete at Tryouts Armed with honest feedback and a clear target, your athlete takes the court at official tryouts ready to compete for the team and level that's right for them.

What We Are Looking For

Technical skill matters — but so does attitude. We evaluate athletes on:

  • Serve consistency and accuracy

  • Passing and serve receive

  • Attacking mechanics and shot selection

  • Court awareness and communication

  • Coachability and team-first mindset

DS Elite is growing from 7 to 18 teams during its second season. Check out more details below for tryout information!

  • Evaluations for 11u - 16u teams occurs from May 11, 2026 through June 13, 2026 on Wednesdays and Thursdays

    11/12u- 5:30-6:30

    13/14u- 6:30-7:30

    15/16u- 7:30-8:30

  • 11u- Thursday, June 25, 5-8pm

    12u- Saturday, June 27, 9-12pm

    13u- Saturday, June 27, 1-4pm

    14u- Friday, June 26, 5-8pm

    15u- Sunday, June 28, 12-3pm

    16u- Sunday, June 28, 4-7pm

  • While we can’t guarantee the following teams, below is what we are anticipating putting together for the next season

    16’s- 1 National, 1 Club

    15’s- 1 National, 2 Club

    14’s- 1 National, 2 Club, 1 Developmental

    13’s- 1 National, 1 Club, 1 Developmental

    12’s- 1 National, 1 Club, 1 Developmental

    11’s- 1 Club, 1 Developmental

    10’s- 1 Developmental
