1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy describes how DS Elite Volleyball ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information related to our SMS (text-message) program. By providing your phone number and consenting to receive SMS messages from us, you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information we collect
We collect:
The mobile phone number you provide on our registration form.
The name of the parent/guardian and the registered athlete associated with that number.
Records of consent (date, timestamp, IP address of submission).
The content of SMS messages sent to or received from your number, including delivery status.
Opt-in and opt-out events (e.g., STOP, START, HELP keyword usage).
3. How we use this information
We use this information only to:
Send program-related notifications to parents/guardians: tryout reminders, practice schedule changes, tournament updates, evaluation availability, coach assignments, weather cancellations, and season announcements.
Maintain a record of consent and opt-out preferences for compliance with CTIA and federal regulations.
Diagnose delivery issues and respond to user replies.
4. What we do NOT do
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
We do not use SMS for advertising, promotional offers, or political messaging.
Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All categories of information described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information is not shared with any third parties.
5. Service providers
We share information only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the SMS program:
Twilio Inc. (our SMS gateway provider) — receives the recipient phone number and message content to deliver messages and process replies. Twilio's privacy practices: twilio.com/legal/privacy.
Supabase (our database) — stores phone numbers, message history, and consent records on our behalf.
These providers are contractually limited to using the data only for the purposes described above.
6. Retention
We retain phone numbers and SMS records for as long as the athlete remains an active participant in the club, plus two additional seasons for historical reference. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 9).
7. Children's privacy
Our SMS program is intended only for adult parents and legal guardians. We do not knowingly send SMS messages to phones owned by minors. Athletes themselves do not receive program messages directly from us through this campaign.
8. Opt-out and opt-in
You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You will receive a confirmation reply and no further program messages. You may rejoin by replying START. Reply HELP for support contact information.
Opting out of SMS does not affect your or your child's participation in DS Elite Volleyball programming; we will simply communicate via email instead.
9. Your rights
You may request that we:
Confirm what data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your phone number and message history from our systems.
Send requests to . We will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy we will post a notice on our website and, where required, send a one-time SMS notification to active subscribers.

1. About this program
The DS Elite Volleyball SMS program ("the Program") sends program-related text messages to parents and legal guardians of athletes registered with our club. By providing your phone number on our registration form and affirmatively consenting to receive messages, you agree to these Terms.
2. Message content
Messages are limited to program-related content: tryout reminders, practice and tournament schedule changes, evaluation availability, coach assignment notifications, weather-related cancellations, and season announcements. We do not send marketing or promotional content through this Program.
3. Message frequency
Frequency varies. On average, you can expect 2–8 messages per parent per month, with periodic spikes around tryouts, tournaments, and season transitions.
4. Costs
Standard message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. DS Elite Volleyball does not charge a fee for SMS messages, but your carrier may. Consult your wireless plan for details.
5. Eligible recipients
The Program is intended for adult (18+) parents or legal guardians of athletes registered with DS Elite Volleyball. You represent that you are the account holder of the mobile number you provide, or that you have authorization from the account holder to receive messages on that number.
6. Consent
You consent to receive SMS messages from DS Elite Volleyball by checking the SMS consent checkbox on our registration form at dseliteevolleyball.com. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of your athlete's participation in club activities; you may decline SMS and instead receive communications via email.
7. How to opt out
You may stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts. Replying START will resume messages. Replying HELP will return contact information for assistance.
8. Carrier disclaimer
Carriers (e.g., AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We use commercially reasonable efforts to deliver messages but cannot guarantee timely delivery in all cases.
9. Changes to the Program
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the SMS Program at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be announced via website notice and, where appropriate, a one-time SMS notification.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, DS Elite Volleyball is not liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the SMS Program, including missed notifications. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Program is to opt out.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in courts located in Travis or Hays County, Texas.
